Who We Are
The mission of Chi-Town Gender Alliance is to support people who wish to present as the gender different than that which matches the birth sex. This support includes help with self acceptance, help with acceptance by family, and help with a positive presentation. Members often identify as being a cross-dresser or transgender. Chi-Town Gender Alliance also supports significant others, their family and friends. Everyone who supports Chi-Town Gender Alliance’s mission is welcome to become a member. Chi-Town Gender Alliance is not a dating service and support is non-sexual in nature. Towards these ends, Chi-Town Gender Alliance will:
A. Provide programs, speakers, services and social activities for the support of its members, and to promote the acceptance of transgender and cross-dressing individuals.
B. Provide opportunities for cross-dressing and transgender expression for the purpose of developing self- understanding and self-acceptance.
C. Pass on knowledge and understanding of cross-dressing and gender dysphoria, whenever possible.
D. Assist members with problems related to cross-dressing and gender dysphoria, whenever possible.
E. Contribute volunteer services to charitable organizations and projects, as appropriate, for the purpose of supporting the good works of others in the community at large and to foster good will by demonstrating our mutual concern of community welfare.
