Center on Halstedoffers many types of services including behavior health, educational and employment resources, HIV/STDI resource/prevention and many types of activities. LGBT people from teenagers to seniors are welcome. They are open from 8 am to 9 pm everyday.

Chicago Gender Society provide a safe place for people to explore their gender identitywith social and educational events.

Chicago House
Chicago House has been helping people impacted by HIV/AIDS for 40 years. They also have a long history of helping transgender people with their Translife Care. Those services to transgender people include housing assistance, legal assistance, job training & placement and health care.

Howard Brown Health Services
Howard Brown Health Services provides health services for LGBT people at multiple clinics in the Chicago area. They offer their services at discounted rates to people in need. For trans people their services include hormones and surgical planning but they don’t provide surgeries. There is concern that cuts in federal grants could affect services that Howard Brown provides.

Kenneth Young Center
Kenneth Young Center has a LGBTQ+ center for youth and young adults. They also offer mental health services, substance treatment and recovery, and older adults services. They have several locations in Chicago’s northwest suburbs.

PFLAG
PFLAG is an LGBT advocacy organization founded and led by friends and family of LGBT people. It is a national organization with many local chapters, including in the Chicago area. PFLAG, with GLMA, is a plaintiff in a lawsuit seeking to stop a recent executive order banning gender affirming care for trans youth younger than 19.

Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood provides gender affirming care including hormones and surgical referrals at many of its health clinics. Many of these locations are in areas where there is no other source such care.

Youth Outlook
Youth Outlook provides many services from their Naperville location. It gives LGBTQ+ youth a place for social activities and programs related to physical and mental health. They also have a support group for caregivers, parents, and those actively parenting LGBTQ+ teens.
